The 8 Days Gorilla Trekking and Tanzania Safari begins at Kigali International Airport-Rwanda from where you will cross over to Bwindi in Uganda and watch gorillas and thereafter take a flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport to do you safari in Tanzania. Please Note that to be able to view the Mara River Crossing Great Migration Serengeti in the Months of Late July, August and September and be able to cover the rest of the parks in this itinerary, you will need to adjust this tour to a drive in Fly out package on the Tanzania part or add more two days to your trip or you may book this 12 days Serengeti Migration and Tanzania Safari.
The reason you need to adjust the dates is because we need to ensure that you maximize your stay in the North of Serengeti, avoid long drives and be able to get to the Airport for your outbound flight in time without rushing. The epic Wildebeest Migration Mara River Crossing takes place in the extreme North of Serengeti National Park hence a long distance to Kilimanjaro International Airport/Arusha Town.

8 Days Tanzania Safari and Gorilla Trekking Itinerary:
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today you will be met by your driver at your hotel in Kigali City or at Kigali International Airport and you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable national park the home of gorillas in Uganda arriving in time for check in, lunch, dinner and later overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking and Pigmies Community experience
Today After breakfast you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing and later start your gorilla trek experience at around 8:30 am. Spending 1 hour with mountain gorillas will be a great experience for everyone. After spending a good time with the gorillas you will transfer back to the Lodge for a Hot lunch and to freshen up. In the evening you may choose to have a massage treat or to visit the local community of the pigmies and later dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Road Transfer to Kigali International Airport and Flight to Kilimanjaro Airport
After breakfast you will be transferred to Kigali International airport to catch your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in the afternoon, you will transfer to your Hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Tarangire National park and Game Drive
After breakfast, you will embark on a transfer to Tarangire national park. This endless plains and baobab trees filled park has the largest concentration of 3000 elephants in Tanzania. On arrival at the park, you will start off your game viewing experience and expect to see giraffes, lions and buffaloes among others in addition to the elephants. Arrive and check in for lunch. The game drive in Tarangire will be done in the afternoon till evening. Dinner and overnight

Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti National Park ( Central )
After breakfast, you will transfer to Serengeti national park home to 3 million animals which is larger than any savannah protected area on earth. When you enter Serengeti before you check in your lodge, you will visit the UNESCO heritage site Oduvai gorge where the early humans thought to have occupied about 2 million years ago. You will learn much about the human evolution with the research of Dr. Louis leaky who discovered the human skull and other fossils at the site in 1960. Continue to your lodge inside Serengeti.

Day 6: Full day Serengeti Plains ( Central )
Serengeti offers best wildlife viewing opportunities. It is home to 3 million animals, including large prides of lions, herds of elephants, wildebeest, gazelles, buffalo, buffalo, zebras, and a variety of birds like ostrich. The game drive will start at sunrise explore the area to spot nearly all the large mammals mentioned above. You will return to the camp for lunch. In the afternoon animals will be more active and continue with your game drive. There’s an option to do a hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti.

Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Game Drive the Crater
Today after breakfast, you will transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will explore Ngorongoro crater with a ranger later in the day. On arrival in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will descend into the crater to start your adventurous trail. This area is compared to Garden of Eden on earth and the big numbers of wildlife can be spotted in a day including all big five, the elephant, black rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetahs, and lots of hyenas, hippos, zebra and wildebeest being the most abundant. You will take a break for lunch. in the afternoon and then continue the game viewing in the south corner of the park where you visit Lake Magadi to see flamingos, hippos and other water birds. Return for dinner and overnight

GENERAL INFORMATION
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
All visitors to Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda must have a valid passport with at least 4 consecutive blanks pages. Any applicable visa and/or relevant documentation are the responsibility of the traveler. For further information on Visa requirements visitors are advised to contact their nearest Uganda, Tanzania or Rwanda Embassy or Consulate.
LANGUAGE:
Luganda, English (Uganda), Kinyarwanda, French, English and Kiswahili(Rwanda) and Kiswahili and English (Tanzania)
VOLTAGE:
In Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda the standard voltage is 220 Volts/AC50Hz. Sockets are UK style, 3 pin square plugs.
CURRENCY:
Foreign currency must be changed at the Bank, Bureau de Change, and Hotel/Safari lodge/Camp/Resort. Major Credit Cards, Master card, Visa, American Express, are usually accepted throughout the country. Where credit cards are accepted, the payment will normally be recorded in US$ regardless of the card’s default currency.
CLOTHING:
Dress is mainly informal and should be comfortable as well as practical. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings. Safari clothes are available from hotels/lodges/camps.
BAGGAGE:
Where possible, travel light. Baggage space on safari is limited to medium suitcase or soft bag per person plus reasonable amount of hand luggage. There is 15 Kilogram per person limit on all flights to the wildlife sanctuaries. Excess luggage must be stored in your arrival hotel.
WATER:
You will find many different of opinion of what is safe and what is not. We recommend for peace of mind, to drink local Bottled Mineral water. It is important to drink plenty of water especially during the hotter months. We would recommend that guests drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water per day to limit the effects of dehydration.
HEALTH;
East Africa is a safe and secure destination; however, it is a good idea to take a few precautions. Kindly consult your GP or local doctor at least 6 weeks before you travel, with regards:
Malaria prophylactics. East Africa is a known malaria area and preventive measures are essential. You are advised to take one of the recommended anti-malarial drugs. Be sure to wear long sleeved shorts and trousers after sunset and spray the exposed parts of your body with a mosquito repellent spray
Remember to protect yourself from direct sun rays with sunscreen cream or safari hat.
