Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to your Hotel
On arrival at Zanzibar’s Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Pongwe. You will have the evening at leisure and later retire to your room for overnight.

Day 2: Full day Stone Town Tour
After your breakfast, you will meet your guide to take you on a tour of the historical Stone Town. Stone Town is a famous UNESCO World Heritage site where you can easily see the influence of many cultures that have left their impressions on Zanzibar over the centuries. On this tour of the town, you will visit the local markets and bazaars awash with exotic smells and buzzing with bartering locals. Later you will visit the calm of the 19th C cathedral that was built on the former site of the slave market after the 1873 abolition of slavery.
As you go through the narrow streets and alleys,you’ll pass the Arab houses with their inner courtyards hidden behind heavy doors. You can compare their style with the Indian residences, adorned with balustrades and metal railings. Lunch will be taken at the Silk Route Indian rooftop restaurant, with views to the ocean. Later you will retire to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Day at leisure at your Beach Hotel
Today, you are free to do exactly what you want – and to do as little as you want. After all, you can simply relax by your hotel pool or down on the beach, perhaps under a swaying palm tree. If a day of total inactivity is really not your thing, you can swim or take advantage of one of the activities on offer via your hotel reception.

Wake up in the idyllic setting of your Zanzibar beach hotel, for your last full day on this blissful island. Today you may decide to combine your beach escape with a mainland visit to Serengeti national park for a fly in 1 Day wildlife safari and return to the beach.
