Kenya Tanzania Uganda Safari Itinerary: 

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe and Transfer to Your Hotel

Welcome to Uganda the pearl of Africa. Your guide will pick you up and transfer to your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe where you can rest and get energy to begin your trip around Uganda. If you arrive early we recommend you to take a short tour of the city center visiting the independence monument and learn that Uganda got her independence from British imperialist on 9th October 1962.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park with Rhino Tracking on the Way

Today you will depart Kampala city after breakfast with your guide taking you to Murchison falls national park the largest conservation is in Uganda. Along the 5 hours journey there will be regular stops and you will visit Ziwa rhino sanctuary, home to 20 white rhinos on the way in Masindi. You will then take a guided Rhino tracking on foot with a ranger and later have lunch. After lunch you will proceed into the park and before you check in your lodge you will visit the top of Murchison waterfalls for beautiful scenic views of the Nile. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day in Murchison Falls National Park (Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise)

At 06:30am after a cup of coffee, you will start the game drive with your guide to explore wildlife of Murchison falls including herds of elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, lion, giraffes, hyena, topi. You will then return to the lodge on time for full breakfast and later lunch. After lunch you will head to Paara to enjoy a 3 hours boat cruise on the River Nile, the world’s longest river which boasts of high concentration of hippos, Nile crocodiles and a variety of water birds such as giant kingfishers and fish eagles.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest National Park

Today you will transfer from Murchison to Kibale forest national park the primate capital of the world home to 13 species of primates including chimpanzees. This journey takes approximately 6-7 hours via scenic rift valley landscapes and you will stop in Fort portal town for lunch. After lunch you will transfer to your accommodation in Kibale for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking experience and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Today after breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations of tracking chimpanzees and then proceed in the jungle to start the search for the chimps guided by the Uganda wildlife Authority Rangers. Kibale national park is not only gifted with chimpanzee but also the birding moment. After tracking, you will go lunch and then return to Bigodi for a swamp walk. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and an Afternoon Game Drive

Today you will wake up to an early morning breakfast and thereafter transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in time for check-in and lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will head out for a game drive in the Kasenyi sector and this will go on till late evening as you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Full Day in Queen Elizabeth national park (Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise.

Today you will go for an early morning game drive where you will be able spot different animals including elephants, buffaloes and lions among others. You will return for lunch in the afternoon and thereafter head out for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel which boasts over 5000 hippos. The boat cruise provides a sight of Nile crocodiles, elephants, and water birds. After the boat cruise you will head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park

After breakfast you will be transferred to Bwindi forest National park arriving in time for check in at your Lodge. Renowned as home to half of world’s mountains gorillas, Bwindi is famous gorilla tracking destination. derived from the Rukiga word, “Bwindi” means a dark place, Bwindi rainforest has remained untouched since the last ice age 250, 000 million years ago. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking and Cycling in the Community

You will get up so early in the morning for breakfast and thereafter your driver will drive you to the Park head offices with your packed lunch. On reaching there by 7:30am you will be briefed about what to do and not to do while trekking after which you will be led by the ranger guides through the mist jungle. Trekking usually takes between to 8 hours or even a full day due to the location of gorillas. When you see them, it will be a great and fun time as you watch them and only 1 hour is permitted to watch them. Also ensure you carry enough water with you, hats, sun glasses, rain coats, and non-flash cameras.

Later return to the lodge and in the afternoon, you may go for a cycling experience in the communities. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After a very early breakfast, you will transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park arriving in time for briefing and later golden monkey trekking which starts at 08am with a hike to the bamboo forest at 3000 meters altitude. You hope to see in the bamboo the golden monkeys which are critically endangered primates. After the trekking, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi arriving in time for lunch later dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Full Day at Lake Bunyonyi (Morning Canoeing and Afternoon Cycling)

Today after breakfast you will embark on a boat cruise to explore the lake’s islands (Zebras Island, Punishment Island and Pygmies island) and then return to the lodge for Lunch.  In the afternoon you will cycle around the island communities and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Transfer to Kigali City and Afternoon Kigali City Tour

Today you will wake up at leisure, enjoy your breakfast and then transfer to Kigali City via the Katuna Border crossing. On arrival in Kagali, you will check in to your lodge and head out for a city tour. During the city tour you will visit the genocide memorials, local markets and local brewing areas among others plus a visit to the crafts market. Return to the lodge for overnight.

Day 13:  Flight to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

Today depending on the schedule of your flight, you will head to Kigali International Airport to catch your flight to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and on arrival at the Airport you will meet and greet with your driver from Engabi Tours and Travel who will welcome you to Kenya and transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi for overnight and give you a short briefing about the upcoming activities.

Day 14: Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Today after breakfast at your hotel, you will start the journey to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for check-in and lunch at your lodge. Later in the afternoon you will head out for a game drive in the Park which contains a broad range of Big Game and wonderful views of Kilimanjaro Mountain.  Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

Day 15: Full Day Game Drives in Amboseli National Park

Today, you will go out for a very early morning game drive in search of Big Game in Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is home to leopard, lion, cheetah, wild dogs, buffalo, rhino, giraffe, plains game and much more including large herds of elephant. You will then return to the lodge for late breakfast and have some hours at leisure until you have your lunch. After lunch, you will go out for an afternoon game drive within the Park before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 16: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park through Nairobi for lunch and driving through the stunning scenery of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. You will arrive in time for a game drive in the park. The woodland and grassland surrounding the soda lake are home to an abundance of wildlife including black rhino, white rhino, hippo, leopard, lion and the rare Rothschild giraffe. Later in the evening, head to the lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 17: Transfer to Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, you will head to the world-famous Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. Later you will go for an afternoon game drive in the beautiful plains where you will spot quite a number of animals and learn a bit about the Mara and at sunset you will make your way back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 18: Full Day in the Masai Mara

Today after breakfast, you head out and spend the rest of the day with game drives and activities in the Mara. In between the game drives, a short lunch will follow and then you will continue with game drives as you look out for wildlife and explore the rich landscapes of the Conservancy. You will wind up your evening with a sundowner before heading back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 19: Another Full Day in the Masai Mara

Today you will spend another full day with a picnic lunch exploring the Masai Mara and you will soon realize why this reserve is so highly regarded as the best reserve in Africa. Every year, millions of wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson’s gazelle pound their way across the savannas in an instinctual survival of the fittest. Another big draw card to the Masai Mara is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. Return to the lodge in evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 20:  Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After a very early breakfast, you will transfer to Serengeti National Park together with your packed lunch through the Isebania boarder and access the Serengeti through via the western or Northern gate depending on the Month of the year you are visiting or your interest between the great migration Mara river crossing or the normal Big Five animals viewing game drive. You will arrive at your lodge in time for dinner and overnight. If you arrive early you will go for an evening game drive

Day 21: Full Day Game drive in the Serengeti

After breakfast, you will depart with picnic lunch for a game drive in the Serengeti plains viewing the Big Five animals or following the great migration at Mara River depending on the time of the year visit or your safari interest. The game drive will take you to interesting places in the park where the big groups of wildebeests and predators will be at that particular period. After the full day of game drive, you will drive to the camp for evening leisure and hot dinner.

Day 22: Optional Morning Balloon Safari and Full Day game drive in Northern Serengeti

Today you will wake up to an optional early morning hot air balloon safari experience over the Serengeti which will give you a birds-eye view of the park as you rise alongside the sun and witnessing the millions of wildebeest crossing the Mara river. The flight lasts about an hour, after which you will have breakfast by the park’s lush plains and thereafter continue following the great migration. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 23: Final Day in the Serengeti Plains

Day 24: Transfer from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will have a final game drive in the Serengeti and thereafter drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro Conservation area with your picnic lunch. You will pass by the crater view point for photography and then proceed to the lodge for evening leisure and hot dinner.

Day 25: Full Day Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater together with your packed lunch and descend into it for a full day game viewing. Ngorongoro Crater was formed over 3 million years ago. It is inhabited by a unique ecosystem inhabited by more than 25,000 animals. In the grass steppes and Acacia forest you will find almost every type of animal from the East African savanna. The Big Five (rhino, elephant, Cape buffalo, lion, leopard) and most of the animal species found in the Serengeti, including zebra, hippos, wildebeest, and cheetahs, can be viewed close up. The Ngorongoro Crater ecosystem maintains the historic balance between people and nature in a way that is not possible in other parks. Later in the evening, ascend and head back to the lodge for an evening leisure and hot dinner.

Day 26: Transfer to Tarangire National Park and Full day Game Drive.

After breakfast head out with lunch boxes for a game drive to find the animals in the Tarangire. In the afternoon, you will enjoy your lunch at one of the picnic sites found in the park and continue with a game drive until the evening before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Ranked as the third largest park in Tanzania, the Tarangire is home to a large population of elephant the ancient giant Baobab trees, also known as the “Tree of Life”,
