The 2 Weeks African Safari Tour in Uganda Rwanda and Tanzania will take you to visit the Rwanda genocide museums, Caplaki crafts market, experiencing culture at the Ibiwachu cultural village, canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi, Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national park, Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, wildlife viewing in Ngorongoro, Serengeti National Park and Tarangire national parks and finally a visit to the Maasai village. The Tour starts from Uganda through Rwanda and ends in Tanzania.
2 Weeks African Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and Transfer to your Hotel
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked by your driver to begin your 14 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania safari. He will transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight. He will brief you about your upcoming activities.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
On this day our driver guide will pick you from your Hotel and then drive you through to the western part of Uganda. You will have lunch in fort portal then proceed to for rare memorable experience in bigodi swamp as your guided by the local guides. After drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking experience
On this day have breakfast, then prepare for the amazing chimpanzee tracking as you are guided by the Uganda wildlife Authority Rangers. Kibale national park is not only gifted with chimpanzee but also the birding moment. After lunch you will then go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi national Park
After an early breakfast, transfer to your lodge in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park the home of gorillas. The journey to Bwindi offers an amazing views and opportunities for photography. Lunch dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Rushaga Sector park headquarters arriving in time for the gorilla trekking briefing. The briefing point is about 7-10 minutes from your Lodge. After the gorilla briefing session which usually starts at 8:00 am, you will be assigned the gorilla group that you will be trekking with other trekkers and you will be escorted into the impenetrable jungle with two gun-baring rangers and a tracker with a machete to lead your way.
Once you have found the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them and you are advised to keep your camera in silence and observe a 10 meters’ distance from the gorillas. The time of your stay in the jungle cannot be pre-determined as every day is different from that previous. Return to the lodge for lunch, relaxation and later dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Today after breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale-Uganda arriving in time for a boat rode on the islands from where you will go to your lodge for overnight and dinner.
Day 7: Transfer to Musanze/Ruhengeri for Ibiwachu cultural experience and later transfer to Kigali City for an evening City Tour
The Iby’Iwacu cultural village is the best place to hide, relax and you recuperate your mind. The tranquility and hospitality of the locals is mesmerizing as your presence will be of great pleasure to the community members who will share with you and showcase the details of their past.
The village displays a traditional lifestyle of a Rwandan including dress code, food growing, processing and preparation, traditional ceremonies and interpersonal relationship with in the community. A visit to this community will leave you in awe of how Africa and Rwanda in particular is sumptuously endowed culture wise.
You will enjoy different types of traditional dances performed by community members like Intore dance and Ibyivugo using local and traditional musical instruments, like Umuduri, Ikembe, Iningiri, Inanga, Ingoma, Amakondera, and Agakenke among others.
Take time to listen to the famous songs of the gorillas sang by the famous Ngayabatema as you sit back and meditate upon the conservation evolution of this endangered ape in the Virunga. The visit to this village rewards the cultural enthusiasts with a total understanding of the Rwandan culture. Later you will transfer to Kigali City for an evening City Tour and later dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Flight from Kigali to Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be picked up by a representative of Engabi Tours and Travel and transferred to your hotel in Arusha town. Your guide will meet you and give a brief on your upcoming safari.
Day 9: Transfer to Tarangire National Park and Full Day Game Drive
After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the Tarangire National Park for game viewing experience in this magnificent park which is famous for its large collection of baobab trees, spectacular large mammal population and variety of bird species, not to mention one of the largest concentration of elephants in the country. After the Game drive, you will check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Morning Game Drive and transfer to Serengeti with an evening game drive.
After a big breakfast you will go for a morning game drive in the Park and thereafter transfer to Serengeti National Park. The Tarangire National park is particularly known for the abundance of Ancient Baobab trees (the largest trees in the continent) which fill the landscape and dwarf the animals next to them.
The river of the park is full of wildlife ranging from a large variety of birds to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes and, of course, elephants. The lunch area is fascinating, boasting an observatory with amazing views to the river and wildlife (with good chances of seeing a hunt while having your picnic). You will later continue to your lodge for overnight and dinner in Serengeti.
Day 11: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti
Today is without question one of the highlights of your safari. After a rich breakfast you will start your adventure a little earlier than usual. During a full day game drive, you will experience the Serengeti in its full glory today!
The Serengeti is one of Africa’s most complex and intact ecosystems. Therefore, you can look forward to countless plant species like the characteristic umbrella acacias and millions of mammals like zebras, elephants and antelopes. The Serengeti is also home to the “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). In the evening you will return to your lodge where you will have a delicious dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Morning Game drive and evening relaxation at the Lodge
Today you will wake up at leisure and stay at the lodge relaxing. After lunch time you will embark on an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park viewing animals lie. These include baboons, hippos which come to cool off at the river bank of Serengeti River. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Game Drive in the Crater
After breakfast you will transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and continue with the drive down into the crater together with your guide. Ngorongoro is the largest inactive volcanic crater in the world with an intact ecosystem. The Ngorongoro Crater was created by the collapse of a former volcanic mountain. The crater has a massive bottom of about 264 square kilometers (about 3 times the size of Paris) with a depth of over 600 meters. During the ride in the crater floor you will see again the breathtaking variety of Africa’s wilderness. African elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, lions and dozens of other species await you. Afterwards you will check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Transfer to Airport and End of Safari
After breakfast you will stay at leisure and transfer to the Airport to catch your flight back home depending on your flight schedules.
